Tiếp nhận 1 tỉ đồng giúp đỡ người dân Ấn Độ vượt qua nỗi đau dịch COVID-19 – Ảnh: PHƯƠNG NAM
Sau 1 tuần phát động; tăng ni, phật tử TP. HCM đã đóng góp1 tỉ đồng để chia sẻ phần nào khó khăn, giúp người dân Ấn Độ sớm vượt qua nỗi đau do dịch bệnh COVID-19 gây ra.
Tối 15-5, tại tu viện Khánh An (quận 12, TP.HCM), đại diện ban trị sự Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam TP.HCM, đã tiếp nhận 1 tỉ đồng quyên góp.
Số tiền này sẽ được trung ương Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam chuyển đến đại sứ quán Ấn Độ.

Dịp này, ban Văn hóa Phật giáo (Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam TP.HCM), ban trị sự Giáo hội Phật giáo quận 12 và tu viện Khánh An tổ chức lễ thắp nến cầu nguyện hướng về nỗi đau dịch bệnh COVID-19 tại Ấn Độ và trên thế giới.
Thượng tọa Thích Trí Chơn – trưởng ban Văn hóa Phật giáo, Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam TP.HCM, trưởng ban tổ chức lễ cho biết, đây là một việc ý nghĩa, nhân văn của Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam TP.HCM cùng bà con Phật tử.
TTO – Sáng nay 14-10, Hội đồng Trị sự Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam ra thông bạch vận động tăng ni, Phật tử quyên góp cứu trợ đồng bào lũ lụt các tỉnh miền Trung.
