Ngày 2-3, Công an huyện Sóc Sơn (Hà Nội) cho biết đang tạm giữ nghi phạm Nguyễn Văn Sơn (giám đốc Trung tâm đăng kiểm 29-12D), Lê Trung Tâm (giám đốc kỹ thuật trung tâm), Đỗ Thái Học (phó giám đốc kỹ thuật trung tâm) và 6 nhân viên đăng kiểm khác để điều tra về hành vi nhận hối lộ.
Trước đó, Công an huyện Sóc Sơn nhận được đơn tố giác Trung tâm đăng kiểm 29-12D (huyện Sóc Sơn) nhận tiền để bỏ qua lỗi khi đăng kiểm xe.
Căn cứ tài liệu thu thập được, Công an huyện Sóc Sơn xác định việc các đăng kiểm viên và lãnh đạo của Trung tâm đăng kiểm xe cơ giới 29-12D nhận tiền của các chủ phương tiện đến kiểm định để bỏ qua các lỗi vi phạm của phương tiện và cấp giấy đăng kiểm có dấu hiệu của tội nhận hối lộ.

Tại cơ quan cảnh sát điều tra, các nghi phạm thừa nhận toàn bộ hành vi nhận và chia nhau tiền của các chủ phương tiện để bỏ qua các lỗi vi phạm khi đăng kiểm.
Vụ việc đang được tiếp tục điều tra mở rộng.
Vừa qua, báo chí phản ánh lực lượng chức năng phát hiện nhiều trường hợp xe quá niên hạn sử dụng, quá hạn đăng kiểm vẫn chạy trên đường.
